ALL ABOUT MSSC floor hockey

This high spirit and zero-contact league gives you an outlet to play hockey without the high cost of ice! If you’re looking for a truly awesome cardio experience this season with a focus on fun, then our leagues are for you! Games are played with official-size plastic hockey sticks and everyone’s favourite orange ball. Where possible, teams are split into divisions with other teams with alike calibre.

HIGHLIGHTS + LeAGUE DETAILS

Fall Floor Hockey is played on Thursday evenings..
Games are 55-minutes with rotating start times.
Play at a central location – St. Andrews Church.
Leagues begin Mid-September and wrap up early December.
Rosters & Schedules will be available to registered players at least two (2) days prior to your first game.

Skill Division & Roster

This league is recreational in skill level, however, we hope to grow into offering an intermediate division soon. All leagues are fun-focused.
League options for players on the court (see league detials):
Mixed Gender Leagues: Teams must always play with a minimum of 2 men and 2 women on the field.
Single Gender: Teams must always play with the same gendered players on the field
Open Gender: There are no minimum gender requirements. Players participate freely without restrictions existing as to how many players of each gender are on the field.

rules & equipment

All leagues are self-officiate with an MSSC Game Coordinator onsite.

Equipment is provided and setup for you. Often, teams prefer to bring their own goaltender equipment.
